Brazilian Apitong is 2x harder than Malaysian Apitong hence it lasts longer for Truck Trailer Bed Decking.

Apitong is better suited than any other wood in the world for trailer decking because of its durability, affordability and sustainability. Brazilian Apitong (aka Angelim) and Malaysian Apitong (aka Keruing) are both marketed for this purpose.

The excellent hardness / durability rating of Brazilian Apitong makes it superior to Malaysian Apitong for Trailer decking.

To harvest Brazilian Decking, Brazilian Apitong trees must be removed.   We have these trees shipped to the US instead of being discarded in Brazil.  As we buy these trees cheaper we are passing along the saving to you.  The Brazilian Apitong trees are 2x harder than Malaysian Apitong.
