Fasteners are a very important part of your decking system. You want fasteners that look good, hold effectively, and are easy to install. Local Deck Builders recommend to us the HeadCote/Smart-Bit system. The Smart-Bit drills a pilot hole with a countersink the exact depth to fit the Headcote screw. The system is very simple and effective. The Headcote screws are stainless steel with color heads that compliment the decking. For the look of original stainless we offer Swan Stainless Steel screws. In addition, we have stainless steel and galvanized GRK screws that are perfect for T&G decking. For foundations and support we have GRK Lags.

The SMART-BIT®/HEADCOTE® System

We carry the Headcote and Smart-Bit system. Smart-Bits drill, countersink, and stop at the correct depth every time. Headcotes' install perfectly in Smart-Bit holes.

The SMART-BIT ® tool package contains one (1) complete tool, two (2) extra replacement bits and one (1) hex wrench. Available in both #7 and #8.

The SMART-BIT ® replacement bits package contains five (5) replacement bits. Available in both #7 and #8

We carry appropriate Smart-Bits to match.

Ipe Clip Extreme ®

Hidden Fastener System

We carry the Ipe Clip Extreme ® Hidden Fastener system. In addition, we can upgrade the Ipe clips for any of our conventional decking by replacing the Ipe plugs with Jatoba, Cumaru, or Tigerwood plugs.

GRK Fasteners

We offer both Stainless Steel and Climatek trim screws from GRK Fasteners. These screws are perfect for Tongue and Groove as well as conventional decking.

The Climatek are harder than steel and are ACQ compliant. The heads almost disappear once installed

BoWrench

• BoWrench helps if you are installing Brazilian Decking by yourself. Our decking is rarely bowed and for several years we did not carry this tool. However, homeowners who are building their decks on weekends have asked us to carry this tool.

We now offer BoWrench.

• A deceptively simple-looking tool, the BoWrench is a must have for both professional builders and do-it-yourselfers. The BoWrench gives you a fast, one-person way to straighten decking boards. This is great, because decking material... whether redwood, cedar, or pressure treated pine... is often warped, especially in 12 to 16 foot lengths.

• To operate the BoWrench, you simply slip the tool on a joist, pull the lever arm, and release. You can either push or pull boards into alignment, and when the handle is perpendicular, the tool locks in place, holding the board securely and leaving both hands free to drive nails or screws.
