Flood ® Finishing Comparison

We did a real live comparison of deck finishers. The photo below shows different finishers across different decking after 10 weeks. As the ageing continues we will update with additional photos.

Consumer Reports ranked decks stains in their July 2008 issue.

The report features Consumer Reports’ Ratings of 16 fully tested stains and six partially tested stains.

Consumer Reports’ number one stain was the opaque Flood SWF-Solid.

Unfortunately, Consumer Report did not test clear Flood CWF - Hardwood Finisher with the UV inhibiters. Our sample boards to the left is our testing. As these boards continue to age we will be adding additional photos to this page.

BTW: Consumer Reports did list Ipe as number one in decking.

Update: One of our customers saw that we now carry Flood. - He shared with us that he used Flood 18 months ago on a dock. The results were stunning as evidenced by the photo he gave us. Flood was applied May 2007 and these photos were taken November 2008!
